Albadran ( 79 )WBy the Apocalyptical “Son of man,” Muhammad (pbuh) is intendede can produce many sound argumentsto prove the identity of “the Son of Man” with Muhammad (pbuh) only, and shall dividethese arguments as follows:Arguments from the Gospels, and from the ApocalypsesIn the most coherent and significant passages in the discourses of Jesus(pbuh) where the appellation “Barnasha” —or “the Son of Man”—appears, only Muhammad (pbuh) is intended, and in him alone the prediction contained therein is literally fulfilled. The commentators of course interpret this passage in a spiritual sense only. Well, it is the mission and the office of every prophet and the preacher of the religion to callthe sinnersto repent of theirinequity and wickedness. We quite admit thatJesus(pbuh)wassent only to the “lostsheep of Israel,” to reform and convert them from theirsins; and especially to teach them more plainly concerning “the Son of Man” who was to come with power and salvation to restore what waslost and to reconstruct what was ruined; nay, to conquer and destroy the enemies of the true believers. Jesus(pbuh) could not assume for himselfthat apocalyptic title “the Bar-
